Travel in a small group with a Spanish-speaking guide through the mountainous region of northern Albania and southern Montenegro. Trekking route through the Dinaric Alps, discovering remote mountains and valleys, in a multicultural area inhabited by Albanians and Slavs. We will walk through the isolated valleys of Theth and Valbona, a region never conquered by its invaders. We will experience the traditional life and the true hospitality of its people and of course the cosmopolitan and modern Tirana.

Flight departure to Tirana (intermediate connections). Arrival at the airport and transfer to the north of Albania, into the Dinaric Alps, passing through Shkoder, the largest Catholic center in Albania and the gateway to the Albanian Alps.
Traveling between mountains with limestone walls and following the valley of the Cem River, we arrive at the alpine town of Lepushe, where we will spend the night in the refuge of a local family.
Lepusha is one of the most remote valleys in Albania, located in the heart of the Dinaric Alps.
Vehicle journey: 150 km
Today we will leave the Lepushe valley in Albania and walk up a forest track to the Perdolec pass . From here, through meadows and forests, we will reach the Top of Greben , where we can enjoy the majestic views of the imposing Dinaric Alps or Damned Mountains , whose population was never subjected to the Ottoman Empire. We will continue walking until the Zabeli pass, beginning the descent towards Montenegro.
Brief transfer by vehicle to the Montenegrin town of Plav, where most of the inhabitants are ethnic Albanians.
Accommodation in Plav or in the neighboring village of Gerbaj.

In 4X4 vehicles we travel for about 40 minutes to the shepherd's village of Mramorje at 1885 meters. Here, we will begin our ascent up the slope of the mountain, reaching the Visitor peak at 2,409 meters above sea level . Once at the top, we will enjoy incredible views of the Plav region. Then we will descend to Lake Visitorsko, one of the highest in Montenegro. Possibility of bathing in its waters. Transfer to Plav.
Hike 11 km / 5 hours
Slope: +550m / - 650m
After breakfast, we will go to the neighboring village of Bajrovica Katun in Montenegro where we will ascend on foot to the glacial lake Hridsko . The path climbs gently through green meadows with good views, until reaching the lake, where there will be the possibility of bathing.
In the afternoon, we move to the village of Vuthaj , located in one of the most beautiful valleys in Montenegro. Accommodation in shelter.

Slope: +650m / - 650m
After breakfast, we will start our trekking through the Ropjana Valley. Escorted by magnificent mountains we will cross the Albanian border again. Bunkers, small shepherds' shelters and some abandoned military post we will see on our way from Montenegro to Albania. We will start the descent to the valley of Theth from the Peja pass.
After a steep descent we will arrive at our shelter run by a local family where we will rest and have dinner. Theth is the valley with the most well-preserved alpine villages in Albania.
Walk: 20 km / 7 hours
Slope: +1000m / - 1000m
A day dedicated to exploring the hidden valley of Theth. We will take a walk around Thethi, visiting the most emblematic points of the town: the church and the house of the Borshi family built in the 18th century, which today houses the ethnographic museum. We continue later to the Grumas waterfall which is one of the highest in Albania (30 meters) and the famous spring of the ¨Blue Eye¨ in Kaprea. Return to Thethi.

Breakfast and early departure for one of the most classic walks in northern Albania, the queen stage of the trip. The crossing of the pass that joins the valleys of Theth with Valbona (1,960 m). Accompanied by mules that are going to carry our luggage, the ascent begins at the end of the valley.
The first part of the path is through thick beech forests, pine forests and we finish the climb through rocky terrain. The views from the highest part of the path are fabulous, where you can admire the peaks of Jezerca and Radohima. Once on the col, we leave Theth behind and descend towards Valbona, through a beautiful pine forest. Finally we reach a narrower valley surrounded by peaks and rugged mountains. Night in shelter.

Breakfast and departure to Fierze to embark and cross Lake Fierze by ferry to the port of Koman . This spectacular route runs through a canyon between walls over 400 m high and blue water. This lake produces the electrical energy necessary for the entire north of Albania. Continuation by car to Tirana . Visit of the nerve center and the most emblematic points of Tirana such as: the 'Skanderbeg' square with its 18th century mosque, the 19th century clock tower, the great avenue 'Martyrs of the Nation' and the old bourgeois neighborhood 'Blloku' where the country's communist elite lived for decades.

Albania and Montenegro are countries that are starting with tourism . In this program, leaving from Tirana, your accommodation network is very simple.
The night in Tirana is planned in a hotel equivalent to 3 *, well located, clean and correct.
In the mountains we will stay in shelters and local houses , similar to the concept of a simple rural house. Despite the simplicity, they are very authentic and welcoming places where you can eat very well. It is advisable to bring a sheet sack. The rooms in the local houses and shelters are triple or quadruple, shared with other people in the group, and there is no single room option.
Local house owners have received specific training regarding additional safety and hygiene measures. All accommodation used on the tour can guarantee correct safety and hygiene measures.
